Yellow Brick Road - To Mars

Why would we want to go to mars? We made it to the moon. And we left. We could have built structures on the moon, habitats, laboratories, and so on, but we did not. First man on the moon, that was the challenge. Now its first man on mars. After that, most likely nothing  more.

We are wasting money time and effort on this mars fantasy. Terraforming, making mars habitable, maybe somewhere in the next 300-500 years, But not now. Now our problem is surviving on mother earth. We could loose our struggle to survive here before we reach mars. Neglecting what is happening here on earth, could even destroy the very basis needed for reaching mars.
